Once upon a time, nude pictures of Nigerian celebrities were difficult to come by but now the reverse is the case, as more and more celebrities are eager to bare it all for the cameras. Here’s a list of Nigeria’s most controversial celebrities.
These group of people always have Nigerians talking. Many of them seem to love the buzz around them and they keep doing things that amaze the public.
This list is based mostly on recent and more popular controversies, so if you don’t see your usual suspect here, it just means that they have changed their ways.
10. KAREN IGHO
Best known as the busty winner of Big Brother Amplified edition in 2011. She is also very good friends with eccentric VJ Denrele Edun, who apparently motivated her to try out Big Brother. After the Big Brother win, she sky rocketed to fame and is a popular socialite on the entertainment scene.
On her very popular implants amidst rumors that she was a stripper, Karen admitted ‘I genuinely did the implant because I had breast lumps’ (she had a double mastectomy to get rid of the lumps in her breasts)
In 2013 She bravely revealed that she had cancer and has later announced the following year that she was cancer-free, making her a two time breast cancer survivor. The entertainer shared this on her Twitter page “It’s almost a year since I took out my breast silicon out.Happy to be living a healthy life style” she tweeted. The broadcaster who became a mother recently might just seem to be changing from her ways.
9. CHARLY BOY
Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, currently sixty four (he was born in 1951), is certainly a candidate on our list. Think earrings, body rings, tattoos and bikes; that is Charly Boy. It is believed by many that his kind of lifestyle is occultist.
With the exception of his ‘Big Bottom’ track that was once denied airplay by some Nigerian radio stations owing to overtly obscene lyrics, his most controversial act was in 2010 when he was interviewed by E 24-7 magazine together with funky presenter, Denrele.
8. CYNTHIA MORGAN
Cynthia Morgan hit the ground running recently, with hit track, German Juice and she has been dishing out the juice in a lot of raunchy photos of late. She was pictured Unclad with upcoming act Jumabee and all the Videos she has featured in this year deserved to be censored. Another Unclad photo with K3tay was the right boost she needed to be on everyone’s lips.
The dancehall/reggae artist has been seen making out with Banky W and has also thrown flirting pointers towards Burna boy in recent times.

7. DENRELE
Of course, the list is incomplete without Charley Boy’s partner in ‘publicity’. Denrele gleefully calls himself & ‘were ile’ ;- a Yoruba expression that rhythmically rhymes along with his first name to mean ‘the mad man of the house’. Faithful to his claims, he doesn’t cease to shock Nigerians with his derelict appearances that borders around lunacy and gayness.
He calls it ‘branding’, however some Nigerians finds his bleached face repulsive. He is a bag of surprises, which most definitely sends tongues wagging, every time he makes an appearance.
6. ANGELA BUKKY
Fairly new to the entertainment scene but is fasting rising because of her explicit shots, she boasts of the most unclad photos on the net, Angela Bukky claims she is hotter and Naughtier than maheeda.
The dark skinned model from kulqee entertainment is amassing a large number of fans with her femme fatale figure.
5. DENCIA
One can rightly say that Dencia, is now one of the most well known Nigerian celebrities. To say that Dencia is in love with her self is an understatement. She is a singer whose her face is more popular than her voice. Dencia recently got international popularity when she introduced her $160 per bottle bleaching cream, called Whitenicious, into the market.
The cream has become so popular as well as controversial. Because of this cream, Dencia has been interviewed by various international media.
Many though have criticized her for not being proud of her skin color, as she became many shades lighter. Recently, she has been having a clash with Oscar winning, Lupita Nyoongo’o. This is because Lupita made an unfavourable reference to Dencia’s Whitenicious during one of her speeches.
4. COSSY ORJIAKOR
Cossy’s boobs alone is enough controversy on its own. But she does not care about what anyone thinks. Its almost as if Cossy needs controversy as much as she needs air.
Cossy is known for her indecent dressing and vulgar talks, In all her photographs Cossy’s tantalizing boobs are usually flaunted. She says that she’s an actress, but lots of people swear that they have not seen her feature in any movie. When it comes to controversy, Poko Mama is notorious. So let’s forget about everything that happened before 2015 as she started the year by going to Church and calling herself a changed person.
Starting with the most recent, reports of Tonto Dikeh wanting to commit suicide, later she shared photos on IG claiming she has regained a renewed strength.
Rewind a bit, Tonto Dikeh dropped another “unsuccessful” Song titled Sugar Rush which featured label mate D’banj.
Let it be known that Tonto Dikeh is one of the most talented actress in Nigeria and her delivery of Roles is second to none. So why did she start singing.. This started before 2015 so we will leave that, and rewind again..
Tonto Dikeh went head to head with a luxury shopper on Instagram. The shopper accused Tonto of buying a bag for weeks and refusing to pay.
Leaked text messages actually showed that Tonto still owed the shopper. Tonto later burnt the bag and sent a video of her doing it to the shopper who once again leaked it.
Let’s go back a little … Tonto Dikeh’s new boo, Almighty Mr X. Tonto was showing body parts of her new man on social media saying that one day, her fans will see the full Mr X. Poko kept everyone guessing till she finally dropped photos of Mr X.
Rumors started springing up after Tonto shared her new man photos online and within a day, Wedding photos of her man, hit the internet and this dragged Poko on another round of husband snatching scandal.
